This was a lot of fun weirdness. We wanted the audience to feel the discomfort of the characters surrounding.Worked close with DP to keep tone of each shot for lighting and composition.
We coffee stained newspaper to get the worn out dirty look for the wallpaper background and ceiling. Weathered cans, lights, etc., and made sure to keep the room busy without overdressing it. Wanted to give the room an unpleasant and sufficting feeling.

This shot was tricky to pull off but it came out great. We gave it a very comforable surrounding considering where it would be transitioned from. Our lead character John Sanders gave a great performance, keeping the audience with the awkward feeling from what took place in the previous scene.

Another shot where we wanted to keep the scene warm and comfy to keep the audience off the trail of darkness.
